Saltwater

Sardines resurfaced with a vengence after the bad weather and heavy rain. The sea cleaned up miraculously, and we even had a days netting around Umkomaas on monday.

The action off Mboyti and Waterfall Bluff was reported to be going ballistic, and as the water cleans up there too, the shoals continue to move. There should be more coming through KZN. The Ragged Tooth are settling on Aliwal, and things are looking good.

Well I suppose that may now be it, no real news of sards over the last couple days, well any way it was a much better run than last 2 years and may have been even better if it was not for that terrible storm, hopefully next year will be a bumper run.

Thanks Graeme, hopefully gonna be diving the shoal on sat. Very happy that the sards have made a good run and that the game fish and cob have arrived.

Ya, it seems like the gamefish move in further up the coast. Down in the wildcoast we were diving all the time, never saw a gamefish. Was off Aliwal yesterday and there's plenty of action. Lots of Geelbek on Aliwal too.

I also hear that finally there are game fish being caught off the shoals, there were snoek, garrick and black tip kingfish caught off shoals in the toti area yesterday. Nature is a funny thing, I know that many people thought that last weeks bad weather was the end of the sards. I'm glad that mother nature had different ideas. I do hope that the approaching cold front does not wreak any major havoc. Good luck to Graeme and co, hope the filming is a success.
